Qualifications:
The Math teacher is responsible for preparing lessons, assignments, and instructional materials while fully implementing the goals of the annual School Improvement Plan. The teacher will establish learning objectives consistent with appraisal of student needs, curriculum framework, and knowledge of student growth and development; selects and uses appropriate instructional strategies to evaluate student progress including, but not limited to, individual/group discussions, demonstrations, modeling and multimedia teaching aids to present subject matter to students; create an engaging classroom environment that provides for active student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve at the highest level; confers with parents and students regarding progress/opportunities of assigned students; arranges and participates in teacher-parent or teacher-student conferences as necessary; performs other instructional related duties as assigned.
Description:
This is a full time 10 month position that will be responsible for providing instruction to students in grades 6-12.
